If you’re having issues connecting your camera, these tips can help you troubleshoot.
Enable camera and microphone access on macOS Mojave or later
On computers using macOS Mojave version 10.14 or later, you must allow camera access for Chrome or Forum. Check your operating system permissions to confirm that camera access has been enabled.
Enable camera and microphone access on Windows 10 or later
On computers using Windows 10 or later, you must allow camera access for Google Chrome or forum. Check your app permissions to confirm that camera access has been enabled.
Allow Chrome to access your camera and microphone
When using Google Chrome, site permissions to use your camera and microphone must be set to “Allow”. Check your Chrome site permissions to confirm access has been allowed.
Close other applications using the camera
Other applications using your camera may prevent Forum from detecting your camera. Be sure to close other applications and Chrome tabs that access your camera when using Forum, and reload your browser if you’re using Google Chrome.
If your camera still isn’t working, try these tips:
Check that the right camera is selected.
Check that your computer’s camera is connected, turned on, and pointing towards you unobstructed.
Check if your camera functions in other apps.
Restart your computer or your Google Chrome browser.
