When running on macOS Catalina 10.15, Forum requires permission in order to share your screen.

Forum App

The first time you choose to share your screen, you will see a popup asking for permission to record your computer screen. Click Open System Preferences to confirm.

If you click Deny, you will not be able to share your screen and will not be prompted again. If this happens, you will have to open System Preferences and add permission following the steps below.

Click the apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select "System Preferences...". Once there, select Security and Privacy, then the Privacy tab, then the "Screen Recording" item. You should see Minerva Forum or Chrome on this list.

Select the checkboxes next to Minerva Forum and Chrome. If either of these applications are running, macOS will ask you to quit them. Select Quit Now when prompted.

Reopen Forum, enter a classroom, and you will now be able to share your screen.

Forum on Chrome

You will see a popup appear asking for your permission to access your computer screen on Chrome in the System Preferences. Click Open System Preferences to go into your computer settings, to confirm this.

Click Open System Preferences to go automatically to your System Preferences to allow this. If you click Deny, you will have to go to your System Preferences manually and do this.

Within the Security & Privacy, within the Screen Recording section, select the Privacy Tab, to see Chrome on the list of apps that need permission to record the contents of your screen.

Click the checkbox next to Chrome to approve this. Chrome will have to quit to allow this, so click Quit Now.

Open Chrome, go to the Forum Classroom, select which window you would like to share, and you will now be able to share your screen.
