Viewing Video Responses

To view saved video responses click either the Assess Class or Assess this Class button, as pictured below.

Assigning Scores to Video Comments

Click Video to be taken to the video recording of the class.

Below the video is a transcript of events that took place in the class. Click on any event to be taken to that point in the video.

Select any event where a student spoke, and fill in the outcome, score, and comment. Click Save to save the assessment or Cancel to cancel it.

To filter for contributions from one student, click All Students, and select the name of the student. To filter for longer contributions, slide the Spoken Comments slider to the right.

Assessing General Comments

To score general class contribution rather than a specific moment, click Add general comment.

Select a student under CHOOSE STUDENT and score as previously described.

Assessing Comments in the Chat

Comments typed in the class chat also appear in the class transcript. Click the checkbox next to Typed comments to include chat comments in the transcript.

They appear with a green icon next to them, indicating they are chat comments. To assess a comment, click a chat timestamp and then fill in the outcome, score, and comments. Click Save when you are finished.

Publishing Scores

To publish the scores for all students, click Unpublished in the upper right. A pop-up message will appear asking, ‘Are you sure you want to release these scores and comments to students?’ Click OK to release the scores.
